By using CogneiAI ("Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Use of the Service

CogneiAI provides a tool to convert PDF bank statements to Excel format and generate AI-powered financial summaries. You may use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.

• You must be at least 18 years old to use this Service.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You agree not to upload files that contain malware, illegal content, or files that you do not have the right to upload.
• You may not attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the Service.

2. Free Tier and Paid Plans

Free accounts receive 5 pages of PDF conversion at no charge. After that, a Pro subscription ($0.99/month) is required for unlimited conversions. We reserve the right to modify pricing with reasonable notice.

3. Accuracy Disclaimer

The conversion and AI analysis features are provided on an "as-is" basis. CogneiAI does not guarantee that converted data or AI-generated summaries are complete, accurate, or suitable for financial, legal, or tax purposes. Always verify results against your original bank statements.

4. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of your uploaded files and the resulting converted data. By uploading files, you grant CogneiAI a limited licence to process those files solely to provide the Service. We do not claim ownership over your financial data.

5. Subscriptions and Cancellations

Pro subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe. You may cancel at any time via your account settings. Upon cancellation, you retain Pro access until the end of the current billing period. Refunds are subject to our Refund Policy.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CogneiAI shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including any errors in converted data or AI analysis.

7. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us.

8. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. We will notify users of material changes via email where applicable.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable law. Disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration or the courts of the applicable jurisdiction.
